In a fairy tale village, passing through mountain paths, between terraces of grass, blackberry bushes, fig trees, chestnut trees and age-old walnut trees, overlooking the sea of the Amalfi Coast, it appears, solitary, sheer to the sea, protected on its sides by Monte Faito and by Monte Comune, the Bed and Breakfast "Il Rifugio of Cevere", at Santa Maria del Castello, similar to a lighthouse, so ample is the view of the surrounding landscape.
Whoever is keen about Trekking, or who simply loves walking along the paths and through the woods, and would like to sleep at Il Rifugio, can , once out of the Bed and Breakfast, immediately go along various paths, like Capo d'acqua, Le Tese, Valle del Pozzo and the Forestale, that begin right here and lead to Positano.
PPositano can also be reached going along the fabulous "Sentiero degli Dei" which is a great tourist attraction because of its stupendous panorama. It is said that it was chosen by the Gods, for the purpose of reaching the sea where the Mermaids lived. It is a branch of the Alta Via dei Monti Lattari (CAI 00), considered one of the 10 most beautiful paths in the world.
Instead... if you wish to spend a day in the high hills, the path that goes from the B&B leads to the verdant, uncontaminated and panoramic Monte Comune (877 slm), site of community interests.
The route which takes towards the Conocchia and the Molare and that of Capo Muro begins here and arrives in Bomerano.
The place where the Bed and Breakfast is located, called "S.Maria del Castello", since ancient times, is the most strategic of the Sorrentine Peninsula and of the Amalfi Coast because it is their place of union.
